El – Route Planing For EVs

Route Planing For EVs

When delivering EVs, you are expected to plan your charging route in advance.  Please note the following planning requirements are for ALL EV vehicle movements, regardless of distance.

  • ALWAYS try to use chargers above 100 kw or (high voltage charger). Anything below 50 kw should only be considered in extreme situations.
  • 350 kw chargers are the best and should be sought out as a priority if on your route.

Zap Map tells you everything you need to know.

You should all already have Zap Map downloaded on your phone.

The initial screen will show you every charger in the country, regardless of voltage.

Now set the filter to between 100 and 350 kw.

This will reduce the number of pins visible, and only show high voltage chargers

Click on the pins available to you, what voltage chargers are available, and which are faulty or in use.

If a high voltage charger isn’t quite in your range, you’ll need to find a more local 50 kw plus charger to top up so you can make it to the high voltage charger.

Planning in advance is mandatory. This will drastically cut down on time wasted at low voltage chargers and unnecessary and wasteful costs for Ferris.

Thanks
