Safe Working Practices

Windscreen Damage & Tyre Damage

When is it okay to drive? The decision as to whether the vehicle is safe to drive is down to you as the driver. No amount of images via messaging will fully expose any damage.

Whist you must discuss the issue with Ferris Ops (who will in turn discuss the issue with Pivotal), the decision ultimately rests with the driver. If you do not believe the vehicle is safe to drive, you MUST phone roadside assistance who will attend the location.

If RA deem the vehicle to unroadworthy, they will recover the vehicle to the nearest repair centre. However, if RA deem the vehicle to be safe to drive, you are okay to go ahead with the collection.

With tyre/alloy damage, RA usually carry a space saver. That means the collection can go ahead using their space savers. You’ll need to retain the alloy and tyre and return these to MVS. You’ll also need to return the spacesaver to RA. Speak to Ferris Ops.
